Objectives

  • Learning how to express oneself openly, in a clear, simple, calm and positive way,

Program

  • Identifying and understanding common verbal and non-verbal behaviours in order to avoid the misunderstandings that they often cause
  • Setting up verbal strategies to send a out a clear message
  • Communicating feelings and managing emotions during sensitive discussions
  • Practicing assertive behaviour in uncomfortable situations with appropriate tools and techniques, followed by feedback on the strong points and those needing improvement.
  • Practicing real situations to perfect skills

Methods and pedagogical means

  • The theory, the methodology, the concrete tools of communication,
  • Situational simulations, filmed role plays – debriefing
  • Learners relating their own experiences to each other
  • DVDs, quizzes, question sheets, specific thinking cards.
  • The behaviour model DiSC. The participants will have access through the internet to a question list before the training course. A detailed personal report will de handed in before the training course begins.
